Matthew Dorman
- Matthew Dorman is a project manager with over 25 years international experience in the mining & metals sector. His experience covers the management of projects and operations, from technical due diligence studies through to plant construction, operations and upgrades. Matthew has an excellent understanding of the particular challenges associated with bringing mineral projects through to successful completion.
- Most recently, Matthew has provided support for a number of private clients who wish to make acquisitions or develop projects in the mining sector. Other recent experience includes: Completion of the Angostura Project definitive feasibility study (DFS) for Greystar Resources; participation as board member in the development of patented technology to effectively extract metals from problematic ore bodies, smelter and refinery wastes and other otherwise waste materials with entrained metals value for a private UK based company; fund raising, IPO and project management of environmental and technical studies for Chaarat Gold in the Western Kyrgyz Republic; and leading the bankable feasibility study (“BFS”) on the Rio Blanco copper project in northern Peru (a 1 billion tonne porphyry copper-molybdenum project with a CapEx in excess of USD 1 billion, where he was responsible for an overall BFS budget of approximately USD 10 million and supervised the certification of the project to ISO 9000 standards).
- During his career, Matthew has also been CEO of an AIM listed company; board member of UK registered private companies; has managed the design and construction of heap leach & CIL gold projects in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and Honduras; acted as Client Representative on the design and construction of gold projects in Niger and Morocco; and has managed and operated gold and base metals operations in Uruguay, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia and Mauretania. His responsibilities have included the financial and legal compliance of client companies both locally and internationally, together with the implementation of internationally recognised safety and environmental procedures.
- Matthew brings extensive project management experience to Videira, together with excellent relations with leading engineering and construction consultants, all of which will prove invaluable to fast-tracking project development.
John Stanner
- John Stanner is a geologist, economist and MSc graduate of the Royal School of Mines with 20 years experience in the mining & metals sector, primarily in Latin America. He has worked alongside of Matthew at Videira in both the design of mineral project development plans and the coordination of due diligence exercises, providing strategic, financial and valuation expertise.
- Having worked extensively with banks, funds and financial advisors, John effectively bridges the gap between the technical strengths of the Videira team and the financial requirements of our clients. This approach has been key in a number of assignments including the design and execution of the successful BFS on the Rio Blanco copper project in northern Peru and the due diligence on the Michiquillay privatisation in Peru on behalf of a Chinese client.
- John’s career has also included the development and implementation of mineral exploration and business development programmes in several countries for a variety of international mining companies. He has extensive experience in the recruitment, training and supervision of in-house technical teams and external consultants, and has been involved with a wide variety of industry, NGO and government advisory bodies.
- John is also a director of Rally Financial Group (“RFG”), a successful boutique mining & metals advisory focused on mineral project evaluation, due diligence and strategic value advisory, regularly undertaking assignments for a variety of international mining companies and financial institutions. RFG also currently acts as a specialist technical advisor to a number of investment funds.

In addition to this Videira Management also have an extensive association with suitably experienced professionals which permit it to act with speed and agility to service individual project demands in the most timely and cost effective manner.
Videira Management is in a position to work with the client on his individual requirements and can provide both project management oversight teams and also embedded on site management as required.
